 These locations in the Uk and France are  spaces that disrupts the continuity and normality of common everyday places. Because they break down boundaries within and between places into spaces of ‘otherness’ (Des espaces autres).
These heterotopias are found throughout the Western world and are deeply connected to capitalism—faceless yet familiar, transcending borders and cultural references. They are Land(e)scapes, locations that have exited history, serving as witnesses to humanity's uncertain destiny with their otherness, reaping the veil of the simulacra, prompting reflection on the way we live.
